Fruit is machine harvested in cool evening conditions, and pressed with minimal skin contact. Clear juice is fermented at low temperature with selected yeast strains.
Fire Roads Sauvignon Blanc is stylishly crafted by award winning winemaker Simon Waghorn of Whitehaven and Astrolabe fame.
The vines were planted in 2002 and are trained four canes on a vertical trellis with balanced pruning shoot thinning tucking and trimming to achieve an open healthy canopy.
Summer salads poultry seafood and a good Thai curry.
Sauvignon Blanc
Light straw with lemon and lime tones it has a vibrant currant leaf and gooseberry aroma with some pungent herbaceous nuances and a hint of ripe citrus. It is full flavoured medium bodied with abundant currant and gooseberry flavours and a clean lingering finish.
