Moreno deepens its comitment to Italy with a new Agency, Surani.

The establishment of this new winery in Puglia marks the Pasqua familys return to its roots. We start with the pick of the bunch, the fantastic Fiano and Primativo, both have hit the ground running and quickly found a place in the heart of the indie sector.

Moreno Wines had a great day at The Definitive Italian Wine Tasting (the biggest exclusively Italian wine tasting in the UK) which took place on 8th July in London, Showing a new italian portfolio.

Rebecca Gibb chose “Surani Pietrariccia” as the wine of the week and wrote in her website: “After having tasted a lot of not-so-impressive Fianos 2008 Surani Pietrariccia, Fiano, Salento IGT gave me everything I want in a Fiano”:

“On the nose, this has attractive white peach, almond and lemon notes, It has lovely concentration, the alcohol is well balanced with fresh acidity on the finish and at a decent price. When I found out it was only £9.99, I said bloody hell, that's cheap”

She writes regularly for Decanter, Harpers Wine and Spirit, Drinks International, Restaurant, Just-Drinks.com and, Food and Travel Magazine. In 2006, she was Young Wine Writer of the Year and she is now one of the youngest Master of Wine students in the world.
